integrating nutrition, fitness, sprituality, conscious living, and a little sass
This idea speaks right to my soul and is something that I truly believe. To dive deeper into this idea, I want to define what sympathetic vibrations are and give you a bit of a background…
Sympathetic Vibrations: A harmonic phenomenon wherein a formerly passive string or vibratory body responds to external vibrations to which it has a harmonic likeness.
“An example of this phenomenon is demonstrated with two similar tuning-forks of which one is mounted on a wooden box. If the other one is struck and then placed on the box, then muted, the un-struck mounted fork will be heard. In similar fashion, strings will respond to the external vibrations of a tuning-fork when sufficient harmonic relations exist between the respective vibratory modes.”
Then you have the idea of energy that you learned way back in elementary school…it cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another.
Well, what about the energy and vibe that is inside of you? What energy do you emit? Our parents taught us that the people you surround yourself will have an impact on your ‘reputation’ and reflect who you are…well maybe they were right.
Have you ever been around someone in a terrible mood and just felt yourself slowly start to get a little crabby…it felt as though your energy was being sucked right out of you! I call these people energy vampires…trying to suck out all my positive vibes 😉 There is also the opposite reaction. We’ve all had days where we are crabby or in a funk…and then someone smiles at you, compliments you, or just radiates some positivity your way…and slowly, you turn your mood around!
That’s why you want to surround yourself with positive people who resonate with you and share similar ideals. This doesn’t mean everyone you spend time with needs to be just like you…differences help you grow! But a positive attitude and aligned ideals will help you remain true to you. However, if you don’t work on yourself and become the positive and happy person that you want to be, these people aren’t going to want to continue to spend time with you, so work on yourself first!
The point…be someone that you would want to be around! Find what makes you happy, be who makes you happy, and surround yourself with those people.
If you find that you are constantly attracting negative relationships into your life, look towards yourself! Do you feel worthy of a positive and healthy relationship? If not, then why not? These questions can be hard to answer, but are so important in growing and healing yourself to attract the right tribe.
“Souls recognize each other by vibes, not by appearances.”
Okay, so many things to say about this idea…I hope this was easy to understand and follow because I wanted to jump all over the place in excitement! Let us know what you think about this idea…have you noticed you tend to attract certain types of people or relationships into your life?
