Happy Manifestation Monday, everyone! We thought we would keep this post simple, in order to allow you all to continue to work on maintaining the habits that we promoted in our Love Your Life Challenge, as well as to reiterate some major points that transcend all of the Monday posts. So, here are a few tips for how we believe we can each achieve greater happiness and health!
Have at least one thing you do for yourself each day, that allows you to nurture your mind, body, and/or soul. Whether this is taking time to cook and sit down to enjoy a good breakfast, going for a walk, or reading a book, make sure that you feel at peace and as though you are able to be intentional, and breathe, during this time.
Get enough sleep! Studies have shown that a healthy amount of sleep each night, for individuals between the ages of 18 and 64, is 7 to 9 hours. While this may seem unrealistic for some of us, make sure you strive to achieve the highest level of rest, and definitely do not fall below 7 hours each night.
Exercise! Make sure that you are active for at least 30 minutes each day, and that you are breaking a sweat while doing so! We encourage you to do so outside, but understand that this can be difficult and discouraging in the winter months! Find a variety of activities that you enjoy, and that challenge different parts of your body, and make a point to do at least one each day! We love rock climbing, running, yoga, and weight lifting, among many other things! Find your activity niche, and jump in!
Meditate and/or reflect. Take at least 30 minutes each day to think about your goals, address any challenges you may be experiencing, and to remind yourself how purposeful and unique you are. Say affirmations, write down any thoughts or ideas that you have, sing, and do whatever else it takes to settle and nurture your mind and spirit.
Surround yourself with people who bring positivity into your life, but who also encourage and support you in your goals and productivity. Different people serve different purposes within our lives, and at different times. Make sure that you recognize the individuals who are present and engaged in your life, and in a positive way, all the time. Make sure that you are not only attracting people who provide happiness in the moment, but who may be keeping you from accomplishing your long-term goals. Find people with whom you can have a mutual relationship, where you both encourage and push each other to be the best versions of yourselves.
Explore, and drop your expectations. This idea should be implemented in every aspect of your life. Keep an open mind at all times – when trying new activities, learning new information, or meeting new people. Make a point to go off of the beaten path, and to create experiences that are new and your own. Do not expect certain results, but work for them, and always be prepared for life to not go as planned. Be mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally ready for anything. If you are adaptable and resilient, no obstacle will be extreme enough to keep you from pursuing your dreams and passions.
Eat mindfully, and healthily. Make sure that you work your hardest to eat a diet that is comprised of organic foods, that are grown through sustainable practices. Not only are these pure, unadulterated products better for your body, but you can also purchase and consume them with a satisfied mind and soul.
Help and love others. Although the structure and value system of our society has tried to instill a very competitive mindset within each of us, we believe that people are designed to work together, to collaborate, and to support one another. We are each unique, and have different interests and strengths for a reason. If we were all the same, the world would be a very boring and dysfunctional place. Every person on this Earth is innately good, although the actions of some do not always reflect that. This can be due to upbringing, a lack of education and exposure to open mindedness, mental illness, amongst many other factors. Do not immediately judge another person if he/she is acting in a way that is different than you. Express empathy and understanding. Help to educate people you observe being hurtful to others. Help those less fortunate than you by donating your time and/or money to organizations who help to empower and to provide greater opportunity to those individuals. Express love and positivity to everyone you encounter. You would be amazed at how much a little compassion means to other people, and how much love can help to change another individual’s outlook on his/her day, or even his/her life. You will also be amazed by how much love you attract into your own life, by exuding more positivity and appreciation for others.
Be yourself! We have reiterated the idea of self-love many times, and we won’t be stopping anytime soon! We can not stress enough how valuable and important it is to be able to completely love and accept yourself. Embrace every part of your being. Your strengths, your weaknesses, every part of your journey thus far. Forgive yourself for any mistakes you have made, or regrets you have, let go onto any negativity or bitterness you are harboring, and move on. You are the way you are for a very deliberate reason, so live with intention and with the confidence to be unapologetically you.
Those are just a few tips we hope you remain conscious of this week, and beyond. Our goal is to follow each one of them every day, and to invest time and energy into our own happiness and healthiness!
